Beginner's Obedience Classes
Cost:
$95 for Beginners-- Includes 6 Classes and Hollowell Training Manual
(10% off cost of class if your dog was adopted from a rescue agency.)

Please Note: *Due to recent adjustments in our insurance coverage, we
now require youthful dog handlers to be at least 14 years of age. Thank-
you for not requesting exemption to this. **We ask that dog handlers not
wear flip-flops if training in class!
Eligibility:
Dogs age 5 months and older are started in the Beginner's Obedience class.
No dog is too old to be trained! Dog must have current vaccinations
appropriate for its age and have a health certificate from the veterinarian
certifying that it does not have a contagious disease or parasites.

Dog obedience classes are designed to teach the owner how to train his/her
dog. We use positive reinforcement, motivation, as well as the appropriate
(NOT harsh) corrections. In BEGINNER'S OBEDIENCE, your dog will have
the opportunity to learn to heel (walk calmly on leash at your left side), sit
and lie down on command, stay on command, drop something from his
mouth on command, as well as learn to leave something alone that he
should not touch. He’ll also learn the command to come when called.
Classes are generally limited to 15 dogs so Enroll early! For this
number of dogs, we keep 2 or more trained assistants on hand to
help your instructor as well as to answer your questions.

| Classes are held in a the safe confines of a heated/air conditioned building in Summer or Winter, rain, snow, or sunshine! Our instructors have achieved many advanced titles in the AKC obedience rings as well as agility rings, and finished multiple dogs in the conformation rings. |
